Best digital guidebook apps in 2026
A digital guidebook app puts your check-in steps and local tips in one link that guests open without downloading anything. We compared five of them, WonderGuest included, for one and three properties, with prices read on September 14, 2026.
Prices checked on September 14, 2026
Touch Stay and Hostfully are guidebooks first. Enso Connect and Duve are guest platforms with a guidebook inside, sold to larger operations. Every app is compared over three years, on its yearly price wherever it publishes one, read on its official pricing page. WonderGuest wrote this comparison, so the verdict names the cases where another app is the right pick. If you're new to the category, start with what an Airbnb guidebook should hold.

The pricing models differ a lot, and they don't compare at a glance.
Touch Stay prices plans by number of properties, so the price per property falls as you add more. Hostfully charges per guidebook, with a lower price at higher volume and a Free plan for one. WonderGuest sells one plan per bracket of properties at a fixed price. Duve publishes minimum packages that apply whatever the number of properties, and Enso Connect quotes on request.
The other columns show what the price leaves out. Commission on extras ranges from 0% at WonderGuest to 2% at Touch Stay, and neither Enso Connect nor Duve publishes a clear figure; the upsell revenue calculator shows what those extras could be worth to you. Free options come in three forms: a trial, a Free plan with sponsored recommendations, or a free guidebook with no time limit. Our free welcome book template is another way to start at no cost. AI features vary too, from Touch Stay's chatbot to AI replies in Enso Connect's and Duve's messaging.
The target column tells you the most. Touch Stay and Hostfully are built around hosts and co-hosts or property managers, while Enso Connect aims at brands of 20 to 200 listings and Duve at hotels, hostels and portfolios. The cost comparison below puts every app on yearly billing wherever it publishes one.

WonderGuest takes 0% commission on its extras shop. Costs are list prices on yearly billing where the app publishes one, read on September 14, 2026. For one property, the free WonderGuest guidebook is compared with each app's base plan. For three, WonderGuest Pro is compared with the plan that sells extras: Touch Stay Starter, Hostfully Pro and Duve Premium. Duve publishes only monthly minimums, Enso Connect shows prices only after a quote form, and WonderGuest's US prices exclude sales tax.
Prices checked on September 14, 2026
For one property, Hostfully and WonderGuest both have a free plan, with different trade-offs: Hostfully's shows sponsored recommendations and has no Marketplace, while WonderGuest's has no extras shop. Touch Stay's Starter plan is the cheapest paid option, with its store included. Duve's Basic minimum package costs far more, and Enso Connect has no published price.
For three properties, the comparison uses the plan that sells extras in each app: Touch Stay Starter, Hostfully Pro and Duve Premium, against WonderGuest Pro. Touch Stay and WonderGuest land close together on yearly billing, Hostfully Pro costs more, and Duve's minimum package sits well above the rest.
Two things aren't in those figures. Commissions come on top, with 2% per order at Touch Stay and 1% per sale at Hostfully, plus Stripe's fees. And Duve's numbers are minimums, so its real price after a demo can be higher.
Beyond three properties, rerun the numbers. A price per guidebook grows with every property you add, while a bracket price stays flat until the next bracket.
StayFi isn't on this list because it is a guest WiFi and marketing tool, not a guidebook. Our StayFi page explains how it works with one.

The first seven rows are the ones guests notice. A cell that reads not stated means the official page doesn't say, not that the feature is missing.
Read column by column, the matrix splits the apps into two groups. Touch Stay and Hostfully are guidebooks first: strong on links and sharing, lighter on video and check-in instructions, which they hand to YouTube, embedded forms or a PMS. Enso Connect and Duve are guest platforms. Online check-in is a full row for both, with e-signatures, and ID and payment steps at Duve, but their guidebook design sits inside a fixed layout or preset formats.
Translation is broad almost everywhere. Touch Stay runs guides through Google Translate, Enso Connect covers more than 200 languages and Duve 30, while Hostfully offers 16 languages on Pro, translated card by card. Free trials range from Touch Stay's 14 days with no credit card to Duve, which mentions none.
If check-in with ID verification matters more to you than the guidebook itself, the platform columns are the ones to read. If the guidebook comes first, look at the top seven rows, and use our Airbnb essentials checklist to decide what it should cover.
Check-in videos hosted in the guidebook, starting with the free one
Of the four other apps here, Enso Connect is the only one that hosts video in its guidebooks, and its check-in steps use images and text. Touch Stay links videos from YouTube, Vimeo or Loom, Hostfully embeds them from YouTube, Vimeo or Matterport, and Duve embeds video from a link, with personalized Motion videos as a paid add-on. WonderGuest hosts check-in videos inside the guidebook, free guidebook included. A host can film the lockbox or the parking spot on a phone and put the clip right next to the written steps, with no outside platform and no demo before getting started.
Extras with a published 0% commission
All five apps let you sell extras, on very different terms. Touch Stay keeps 2% of each store order. Hostfully's Marketplace, on Pro, keeps 1% of each sale, with Stripe's fees on top. Enso Connect says upsell commissions are separate from the subscription and doesn't publish a percentage. Duve puts upsells on Premium and describes the commission two ways in its FAQs. WonderGuest's extras shop comes with the Pro plan at 0% commission, stated on its pricing page. Guests pay by card through Stripe, and what they pay is what the host receives, minus Stripe's fees.
A price you can read before you talk to sales
Two of the apps here don't show a price you can act on by yourself. Enso Connect puts a quote form on its pricing page and offers a free trial after a demo. Duve publishes monthly minimum packages, and every plan goes through a demo. Touch Stay publishes its prices by number of properties, and Hostfully lists Pro prices on its checkout page rather than its pricing page. WonderGuest publishes one price per bracket of properties, and the first guidebook is free with no time limit and no demo. For a host with a few properties, that's the difference between trying a tool tonight and waiting for a sales call.
Our verdict
No single app fits every host. Touch Stay and Hostfully are the closest to a pure guidebook, while Enso Connect and Duve are guest platforms that cost more and do more. WonderGuest is the pick for hosts who want check-in videos hosted in the guidebook, online check-in and an extras shop that keeps no commission, with a published price and a free first guidebook.
When another tool is the right choice
- You need offline access or an AI chatbot: Touch Stay has both, on the right plan.
- Your reservations run in Hostfully's PMS: its guidebook syncs with it.
- You manage 20 properties or more and want messaging, verification and deposits in one system: look at Enso Connect or Duve.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best digital guidebook app for short-term rentals?
It depends on your setup. WonderGuest fits hosts who want hosted check-in videos, online check-in and a shop with no commission. Touch Stay fits hosts who need an offline guide, and Hostfully fits managers on its PMS. Enso Connect and Duve fit larger operations that need messaging and ID checks. Is this comparison objective?
WonderGuest wrote it, and we say so up front. To make it checkable, every app is compared on the same scenarios, every price is dated and linked to its official page, and the verdict names the cases where another app is the right pick. If a figure is wrong, write to us and we'll fix it.
Why isn't StayFi on this list?
StayFi runs guest WiFi and marketing, and its HomePage links to a guidebook built in another tool. It has its own page, where we explain how it works alongside a guidebook.
Why one and three properties over three years?
One property is the first guidebook, where free plans weigh the most. Three properties is the host who just grew, or a small manager, where plans priced by bracket or volume start to pay off. Three years smooths out first-year discounts.
Which guidebook apps host check-in videos?
Enso Connect's guidebooks take video, and WonderGuest hosts check-in videos inside the guidebook, starting with the free one. Touch Stay links videos from YouTube, Vimeo or Loom, Hostfully embeds them from YouTube, Vimeo or Matterport, and Duve embeds video from a link, with personalized Motion videos as a paid add-on.
Which guidebook app takes no commission on extras?
WonderGuest, at 0% on its shop, with Stripe's card fees on top. Touch Stay keeps 2% per store order and Hostfully 1% per Marketplace sale. Enso Connect bills upsell commissions separately without publishing a percentage, and Duve describes its commission two ways in its FAQs.
Which apps have AI features?
Touch Stay has an AI chatbot on Growth and above, Hostfully an AI itinerary planner, and Enso Connect and Duve AI replies in their messaging. WonderGuest has no AI feature for guests; its guidebook relies on the content you write and film.
Do guests need to download an app?
No, for all five. Guests open the guidebook in their browser from a link or a QR code. Touch Stay can also be saved to the home screen and works offline once loaded, and Duve's guest app runs in the browser as well. WonderGuest asks guests for no download and no account.
Which app is best for a property manager?
It depends on what you need beyond the guidebook. Enso Connect targets brands of 20 to 200 listings and Duve targets hotels and portfolios, both with messaging and verification. Hostfully fits managers on its PMS. WonderGuest fits managers who want a guidebook with a 0% shop and one price per bracket of properties.
How long does it take to switch guidebook apps?
About half a day for three properties, QR codes included. Importing an Airbnb listing covers the photos and description; the rest is copying check-in steps, codes and local tips. None of these apps imports another app's guidebook as is, so keep the old one open while you copy.
