Touch Stay guidebook pricing and reviews in 2026

Touch Stay is a digital guidebook that hosts share with guests by link or QR code, with plans priced by number of properties. We read its prices and reviews on September 14, 2026 and compared it with WonderGuest for one and three properties.

Touch Stay has made digital guidebooks since 2014. Guests can add the guide to their phone's home screen and open it like an app. Every plan includes a store for extras, and guide analytics start on the Growth plan. Videos are linked from YouTube or Loom instead of hosted, and check-in runs through an embedded form.

Touch Stay costs about the same or less on its subscription alone. The table below shows what each plan includes.

WonderGuest Pro

$203.88

2 to 5 properties, one price

Both tools are shown on yearly billing. WonderGuest takes 0% commission on its extras shop, included in the Pro plan, while Touch Stay takes 2% of every store order paid online. WonderGuest's US prices exclude sales tax. Touch Stay's pricing page does not say whether its dollar prices include tax, so they are shown as published.

Prices checked on September 14, 2026 · official pricing page

The block above shows both tools on yearly billing, for one year or for three. Touch Stay publishes a yearly price for each plan next to its monthly one, so we used the yearly figure, the same billing we show for WonderGuest. We never set a yearly price against a monthly one.

For one property, the WonderGuest guidebook is free, but its extras shop is off. If you want to sell extras from your first property, compare Touch Stay with WonderGuest Pro instead, and Touch Stay comes out cheaper. For three properties, the two yearly prices land close together, which is why the block shows no saving there.

Two costs sit outside those figures. The first is commission: Touch Stay keeps 2% of each store order paid online, and WonderGuest keeps nothing. The second is tax. Touch Stay's pricing page doesn't say whether its dollar prices include it, so we show them as published, while WonderGuest's US prices exclude sales tax.

One plan is left out on purpose. Touch Stay's Growth plan adds guide analytics, two-way messaging and the AI chatbot, and it costs more than Starter. WonderGuest includes guidebook statistics in Pro. If analytics matter to you, compare Growth with WonderGuest Pro rather than Starter.

The first seven rows are the ones hosts notice day to day. The last five are covered by most of the market, and Touch Stay is no exception.

Touch Stay gets three full marks in the top seven. External links cover maps, plus PDFs shared through a Drive or Dropbox link. Structure is flexible, with categories, subcategories and topics you arrange. Branding covers your logo, colors and fonts. On those rows, a host moving from one tool to the other gives up nothing.

The partial rows tell a different story. Video and check-in instructions come through a linked YouTube, Vimeo or Loom video. Check-in runs through an embedded Google Form or Jotform, and the steps themselves are yours to write, which our check-in instructions generator can draft. The store is there on every plan, with a 2% fee per order; the upsell revenue calculator helps you estimate what your extras could earn. None of these features is missing outright. Each one depends on an outside service or a cut of your sales.

Further down, Touch Stay holds its own. Translation runs through Google Translate, or your own text in 16 languages, and the 14-day trial needs no credit card. Guests can install the guide on their phone like an app. Content portability is partial, because the plan table leaves the PDF download out of Starter. To get started, Touch Stay builds a guide from an Airbnb listing, and onboarding help starts at 7 guides.

Check-in videos hosted in the guidebook, not linked from YouTube

Touch Stay shows photos, but video comes from YouTube, Vimeo or Loom. You upload the clip to one of those platforms, then paste the link into a topic. The guide plays it, but the file lives somewhere else, under that platform's rules. If the video gets deleted or set to private, the link breaks, and a guest may find out while standing at the lockbox. WonderGuest hosts the video inside the guidebook. You film the lockbox or the parking spot on your phone, drop the clip next to the written steps, and replace it in the same place when the code changes.

Videos are linked from YouTube, Vimeo or Loom, so they live outside the guide.

Online check-in built into the guidebook

Touch Stay has no native check-in. Its help center explains how to embed a Google Form or a Jotform in the guide. Guests fill it in without leaving the page, but you build the form in that other tool, and the answers land there, not in Touch Stay. That's one more account to set up and one more place to check before each arrival. On the WonderGuest Pro plan, online check-in is part of the guidebook itself. Guests complete it where they read their arrival steps, and there's no outside form to build or connect. If you turn over several stays a week, that's one less tab to keep open.

An extras shop that takes no cut of your sales

Every Touch Stay plan includes a store that takes payments through Stripe. On each order paid online, Touch Stay keeps 2%, and Stripe's own fees come on top. On a single late checkout, that's small change. It adds up, though, because it applies to every order at every property for as long as you sell. The WonderGuest extras shop comes with the Pro plan and takes 0% commission, so what the guest pays is what you get, minus Stripe's card fees. If extras are a real revenue line for your properties, this is the difference that grows the most over three years.

Sources: Trustpilot 4.6/5 (19 reviews), checked on September 14, 2026 · Capterra 5.0/5 (2 reviews), checked on September 14, 2026

Touch Stay has few public reviews for a tool that has been around since 2014: 19 on Trustpilot, rated 4.6 out of 5, and 2 on Capterra when we checked. Two Capterra reviews don't make a trend, so Trustpilot carries most of the weight here.

The positive reviews agree on two points. The guide is easy to use and still customizable, and guests ask fewer repeat questions once it's live, which is the whole point of a guidebook. A July 2026 Trustpilot review adds that guests like it and that it saves the host time.

The complaints are about getting started and going further. Filling in the first guide takes a while to get used to, according to a June 2026 review. One reviewer wants even more design options, and others ask for more PMS integrations and an app that lets owners edit their guides.

None of this is a dealbreaker. The first guide takes effort with any tool. Importing an Airbnb listing, which Touch Stay and WonderGuest both offer, fills in the basics, but your check-in steps and local tips still have to come from you. Our house rules generator and free welcome book template give you a head start.

Switching, in practice

  1. 1Step 1

    Import your Airbnb listing

Paste your listing link. Photos, the description and amenities fill in a first guidebook.

    2 minutes

  2. 2Step 2

    Copy over what's missing

Keep your Touch Stay guide open in another tab and paste in your check-in steps, door codes and local tips. This is the only manual part.

20 to 40 minutes per property

  3. 3Step 3

    Swap the QR code

Print the new QR code, put it where the old one was, and send the new link to your next guests. Cancel Touch Stay once the first stay has gone well.

    10 minutes

The three steps above take about half a day for three properties, QR codes included. Nearly all of that time goes into step 2. Importing your Airbnb listing fills in photos, the description and amenities, but not your check-in steps, door codes or local tips.

Keep your Touch Stay guide open in another tab while you copy. The PDF download isn't part of Starter in Touch Stay's plan table, so a browser tab is the simplest reference. Go one property at a time so nothing gets mixed up.

Videos take one extra step. On Touch Stay they live on YouTube, Vimeo or Loom, so grab the original files, or film the entry again on your phone, and upload them to your WonderGuest guidebook.

Run both guidebooks side by side for one stay. Send the new link to one guest, check that the lockbox or smart lock codes and the check-in video are right, then swap the QR codes at your other properties and cancel Touch Stay. A WiFi QR code next to the new one saves guests from typing the password. WonderGuest support answers 7 days a week while you switch.

Our verdict: the alternative to Touch Stay

Touch Stay is a mature guidebook with a store on every plan, PMS integrations and a guide that works offline. WonderGuest is built for hosts who film their check-in steps, want online check-in inside the guidebook and sell extras without a fee on every order. On yearly billing, the two cost about the same for three properties. For one property with no extras, the WonderGuest guidebook is free.

Who should stay with Touch Stay

  • You have one property and want to sell extras right away: Touch Stay's Starter plan includes its store.
  • You rely on a PMS integration such as Guesty, Hostaway or OwnerRez to send the guide automatically.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Touch Stay cost?

For one property, the Starter plan costs $99 a year, or $12.50 a month on monthly billing. For three properties, Starter costs $195 a year or $22.10 a month. Growth, which adds guide analytics, two-way messaging and the AI chatbot, costs $15 a month for one property and $36.10 for three. There is a 14-day free trial with no credit card. Prices read on touchstay.com on September 14, 2026, in US dollars; the page does not say whether tax is included.

Is Touch Stay cheaper than WonderGuest?

For three properties on yearly billing, Touch Stay Starter costs $195 a year, close to WonderGuest Pro for two to five properties, as the pricing block on this page shows. For one property with no extras, the WonderGuest guidebook is free. Touch Stay also keeps 2% of each store order, and WonderGuest keeps none.

Is WonderGuest a good Touch Stay alternative?

Yes, if you film your check-in steps, want online check-in inside the guidebook or sell extras: WonderGuest hosts the video, includes check-in on the Pro plan and takes no commission on its shop. Touch Stay is the better pick if you need a guide that works offline, an AI chatbot on its Growth plan, or PMS integrations that send the guide automatically. For one property with no extras, the WonderGuest guidebook is free.

Does WonderGuest have an AI chatbot like Touch Stay?

No. Touch Stay's Growth plan includes an AI chatbot that answers guests, and WonderGuest has no AI assistant. A WonderGuest guidebook relies on what you put in it: filmed check-in steps, door codes, house rules and local tips on an interactive map. If you want AI to answer guest questions for you, Touch Stay Growth is the stronger choice there.

Does Touch Stay have an app?

Not in the app stores. Touch Stay is an installable web app: guests open the guide from a link or QR code and can add it to their home screen, where it opens like an app and works offline once loaded. WonderGuest also opens from a link or QR code, with nothing to install.

How does Touch Stay work?

You build a guide from categories, subcategories and topics, with text, photos, linked videos and Google Places, or generate one from an Airbnb or Booking.com listing link. You share it by link, QR code or automated messages from your PMS, and guests read it in their phone's browser.

Can I try WonderGuest without canceling Touch Stay?

Yes. Your first WonderGuest guidebook is free with no time limit and no credit card. Build it next to your Touch Stay guide, send it to one guest, and cancel Touch Stay only once you're sure.

How did we compare the two?

Two scenarios, one and three properties over three years, both on yearly billing. Touch Stay's Starter plan includes its store, so no add-on was needed. Features come from Touch Stay's public pages and help center, read on September 14, 2026. When a page doesn't say, the cell reads not stated rather than no.

Does WonderGuest replace Airbnb messages?

No. You keep messaging guests in Airbnb, Vrbo or your PMS and drop the guidebook link into those messages. Touch Stay goes further here, with two-way messaging on Growth and automated sends through PMS integrations such as Guesty, Hostaway or OwnerRez. WonderGuest doesn't run the conversation; it puts the answers in the guidebook so the same questions come up less often.

Will guests actually use a digital guidebook?

They do when it reaches them at the right moment: the link in the booking confirmation, a reminder the day before arrival, a QR code at the property. Touch Stay and WonderGuest both open in the browser with nothing to download, and WonderGuest asks guests for no account. A short video of the entry backs up the written steps, which helps most with self check-in.

How fast can I get started?

Paste your Airbnb listing link into WonderGuest, and photos, the description and amenities fill in a first guidebook in under two minutes. Then add your check-in steps, codes and local tips, about 20 to 40 minutes per property. Touch Stay also builds a guide from an Airbnb or Booking.com listing link and offers a 14-day trial with no credit card.

Does the guidebook work offline?

Touch Stay has the edge here: saved to the phone's home screen, its guide works offline once loaded. A WonderGuest guidebook needs a connection, cellular or WiFi, to load, especially for the map and videos; once loaded, most of the text stays readable. If your properties have weak coverage, weigh this before you switch.

What happens if I cancel?

You stop your WonderGuest subscription from your account settings, and the service stays active until the end of the period you've paid for. Your text and photos remain yours. On Touch Stay, the PDF download isn't part of Starter in its plan table, so copy your content over before you cancel.
