How we compare
We sell a digital guidebook, and we publish comparisons that include our own product. That conflict is real, so we publish the method before the results. This page covers what we compare, where every number comes from, the date of each price check, and how we say when another tool is the better fit.

What we compare, and what we leave alone
Our comparisons cover digital guidebooks and the property management software we have used or can read about on public pages. A tool enters a comparison when it makes the same promise as one of the pages being compared: informing the guest before and during the stay, or running short-term rental properties day to day.
We stay out of categories we do not practice. No smart lock rankings, no booking platform rankings, no insurance rankings. We have nothing measurable to add there.
No comparison is written on request, and no vendor reads a page before it goes live.
What we compare
Six criteria, the same for every tool in a comparison, WonderGuest included. For each one, we describe what the tool does, with its source, instead of giving it a score.

A feature we cannot verify is never shown as a no
When a feature appears on no public page of a tool, the cell reads not stated. We do not guess on a vendor's behalf, and we do not turn missing information into a missing feature. A vendor who sends us proof gets the cell corrected.
Where the prices come from, and when we checked them
Every price is read on the vendor's own public pricing page. Never a third-party article, never an old screenshot. The date of the check sits next to the price on the comparison page.
When a vendor bills in a currency other than the one the page uses, we show the amount in its original currency with its code. We never convert at today's rate. An exchange rate is not a price.
A quote-only price stays a quote-only price. It gets no invented number.
We redo the checks once a month. A price whose date is more than two months old comes off the page until the next pass.
How WonderGuest appears in our comparisons
WonderGuest goes through the same criteria, the same scenarios and the same kind of sources as every other tool. Its prices come from the current pricing grid, on yearly billing.
No comparison names a single winner. Each page ends with a verdict that says who should stay with the other tool, for example a host who runs everything from that tool's property management software.
We publish what we do not do. Features WonderGuest lacks show up in the tables like anyone else's.
Partner links
Some outbound links on this site may be partner links. If you subscribe to a vendor after clicking, that vendor may pay us a commission. When that is the case, the link says so on the page where it sits.
No ranking and no verdict depends on whether a partner link exists. The comparison is written before any partnership is discussed, and a vendor cannot buy a position, a cell or a rewording.
We turn down sponsored comparisons and vendor-supplied articles.
Challenge a number
If a price or a cell is wrong, write to us from the contact page with the link to the official page and the date you read it. We fix it, update the check date, and note the correction on the page.
